HPE (High Energy Performance)
The "High Energy Performance" label provided for in article R.111-20 The "High Energy Performance" label, provided for in Article R.111-20 of the Construction and Housing Code, certifies that new buildings comply with a set of standards that include the requirements of thermal regulations, compliance with an overall energy performance level that exceeds the regulatory requirement, and minimum control procedures.It includes two levels corresponding to the consumption of energy and a minimum level of energy efficiency, as well as a minimum level of control.
It comprises two levels corresponding to a lower conventional energy consumption:
It comprises two levels corresponding to a lower conventional energy consumption:
- by 8% below the conventional reference consumption defined in Article 8 of the Order of 29 November 2000: the "High Energy Performance" label is then called the "High Energy Performance, HPE 2000" label;
- or, by 15% of the conventional reference consumption defined in Article 8 of the above-mentioned Order of 29 November 2000.The "High Energy Performance" label is then called the "Very High Energy Performance, THPE 2000" label.
In RT2005, the HPE label is associated with a 10% reduction in reference consumption and the THPE label with a 20% reduction.
