GFA (Gross Floor Area)
The SHOB (Surface Hors Œuvre Brute) corresponds to the surface of ALL the floors (the ground) measured to the outside of the walls.
To calculate the GFA, the surface area of the building must be measured to the outside of the walls.
It is possible to do this from a plan if it is to scale. The SHOB is calculated for each of the levels (floors) of the construction, and is expressed in m².

- basements ;
- parking spaces outside or not of the building (garage);
- canopies supported by posts, loggias, balconies
- mezzanines, galleries
- attics.
