Sales agreement

The "compromis de vente" (or "promesse synallagmatique") is a common term which in legal terms corresponds to a promise to sell. It is the first legal act that links and commits both the seller and the buyer. It corresponds to a firm sale. It can be either an authentic deed signed at the notary's office or a private deed.
