Pooling

A logistics method aimed at optimising the deliveries of several shippers, sometimes competitors and supplying the same distribution warehouses, by grouping them in the same logistics sites and the same vehicles. The aim is to increase the vehicle load factor and thus reduce transport costs. Pooling generally requires a neutral operator who can manage the transport units in the common interest of the various members of the group. He will have information on the various shippers involved.
