Characteristic of a multi-channel distribution strategy. The cross-channel strategy is in some ways the logical evolution of the multi-channel strategy, in that it takes into account the fact that the customer may use multiple different channels to make purchases. But unlike multi-channel, where generally each channel is considered independently and without interference with the others, cross-channel is a logical evolution of multi-channel.But unlike multichannel, where each channel is generally considered independently and without interference with the others, cross-channel approaches all distribution and information channels simultaneously, in order to take advantage of the interactions and synergies that may exist between them.
